What are a CLT wood panels?

Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). Planed and finger-jointed material is glued together in layers so that the direction of the lamellas is perpendicular to each other. A special feature of this material/construction is its ideal air tightness, which eliminates any air leakage and heat leakage. Positive properties of CLT wood panels:

Electric or wood heater?

Our selection of sauna heaters includes both wood-burning and electric heaters. Below we outline the plus and minus of both heaters

Wood-burning heater

Creates a traditional sauna atmosphere (a crackling fire in the stove)
Environmentally friendly, does not consume electricity
Does not dry the air
The sauna must have a chimney that needs to be cleaned
It takes time to heat up the sauna
It must be taken into account that firewood must be stocked and stored in advance

Electric heater

The electric heater can be turned on with a button
The sauna heats up easily and quickly
There is no smoke and no chimney to clean
A consistent temperature is guaranteed throughout the sauna session
An electric heater dries the air and produces dry steam
Higher electricity bill

foundation

Since the mass of the small house is not very large, there is no need for an expensive and complex foundation. Lightweight blocks, concrete paving stones, cast-in-place posts, etc. are suitable for the foundation.
Of course, you can also make a concrete slab foundation, but then you will need additional foundation beams (not included in the price) or a more powerful jack to reach the lifting cables from under the house.
If necessary, the small house can also be moved to a new location with one lift.
